Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods across specified routes, ensuring timely delivery. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, identifying any mechanical issues and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and any potential delays. Adhere to traffic laws and regulations, demonstrating defensive driving practices to ensure the safety of all road users. Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety during transit.
Desired Candidate Profile
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; endorsements for hazardous materials or doubles/triples are advantageous. Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-haul trucking or trailer driving, showcasing reliability and professionalism. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads, with a commitment to safety in all operations. Proficient in using GPS and mapping software for efficient route planning. Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
