Description He / She will be responsible for overseeing the company?s financial operations with a strong focus on managing the Letter of Credit process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of letter of credit process, a high level of attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Work as a part of a team in a globally operating company with an office in Dubai and suppliers located in CIS countries. LC Checking function (35% of working hours):
Prepare pro-forma invoices for LC issuance
Prepare Export LC draft as per contract or verify Export LC draft provide for conformity with contract
Check Export LC received are as per the LC draft and provide amendment list if not in order
Timely monitor and follow up with counterparties on LC and amendment status
Check B/L draft and draft certificates comply with LC before final issuance
Identify discrepancies and work with team members to resolve discrepancies
Prepare and submit documents for bank application
Liaise with clients, banks, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise during the processing letter of credit (LC)
Input data in the CRM system, including freight and financing costs (LC costs)
Financial management function (35% of working hours):
Prepare drafts of documents on demand, i.e. for KYC procedures of external stakeholders
Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
Handle the process of proforma and commercial invoice issuance
Update banks about status of transactions / address compliance queries
Manage the budgeting process and provide regular updates on budget performance
Monitor cash flow and ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the company?s financial obligations
Accounting function (20% of working hours):
Ensure monthly closing accuracy, reporting requirements and deadlines are met
Preparation/reconciliation of monthly products P&L for business
Preparation of the consolidated financial statements
Work with external auditors, resolving any accounting or tax related issues
Admin function (10% of working hours):
Ensure the timely and accurate processing of administrative tasks such as travel arrangements, expense reports, and other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
at least 3-5 years of experience in trade commodity finance within a bank or a commodity trading company
strong understanding of general LC practice rules (i.e., UCP600, ISP98, ISBP and URR725)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
CDCS certification is a strong advantage
Russian speaker is a strong advantage
ACCA / CPA qualification is an advantage
SAP proficiency is an advantage
Computer proficiency in Excel, Word
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage relationships with the banks
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
