Position Overview
This Trade Finance Officer role is responsible for processing and authorizing funded and unfunded Trade Finance products within the Trade Middle Office. The position ensures accurate, timely, and compliant execution of trade transactions while maintaining strong risk management and adherence to regulatory standards. The role supports Trade Finance activities across Wholesale Banking, Islamic Banking, Financial Institutions, Investment Banking, and Consumer Banking.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and authorize all funded and unfunded Trade Finance products in accordance with established procedures
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of trade transactions
• Maintain strong compliance with internal controls, bank policies, and regulatory requirements
• Support execution of Trade Finance transactions originated by CIB, CB, FI, IB, Islamic Banking, and Consumer Banking
• Monitor transaction workflow to meet service-level standards and minimize operational risks
• Perform detailed checks on transaction documentation to ensure correctness and completeness
• Coordinate with front office teams, Trade Operations, risk functions, and other stakeholders
• Escalate discrepancies, risks, or compliance concerns promptly
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trade finance rules, sanctions requirements, and regulatory changes
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
• Ensure proper recordkeeping and audit readiness for all processed transactions
• Support system updates, reporting activities, and internal reviews as required

Ideal Profile

• Experience in Trade Finance operations, preferably in a middle office environment
• Strong understanding of funded and unfunded trade products, documentation, and UCP/ISBP/URR guidelines
• Knowledge of AML, sanctions, and compliance requirements related to trade transactions
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage workload efficiently and maintain service quality
