Trade Finance Officer
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Base Metal Trade Finance Officer to join our clients finance team. The role focuses on structuring, executing, and monitoring trade finance solutions for base metal transactions, ensuring efficient operations and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee trade finance operations for base metal transactions, including letters of credit, bank guarantees, and documentary collections.
Structure and negotiate trade finance solutions with banks and financial institutions to support trading activities.
Review and verify trade documents in line with regulatory, internal, and banking requirements.
Monitor cash flows, exposures, and collateral associated with metal trades.
Maintain accurate and timely reporting of trade finance activities to management.
Work closely with trading, operations, and accounting teams to ensure smooth execution of trades.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and risk mitigation.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and sanctions lists.
