Responsible for the respective construction teams delivery of FPSO repair and life extension and hull integration activities alongside quay and in dry dock, integration and mechanical completion of existing topsides and new modules into the hull alongside up to sail away. The role shall be responsible for ensuring delivery of a quality product in a safe, on time, on budget, environmentally compliant manner, complying with all regulatory requirements, and in compliance to HSESQ procedures.
Accountabilities
Ensure that all construction contractors\' supervision and manpower are instructed in and comply with all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirements
Ensure that construction contractors working within the discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) project drawings, Specifications, ITP\'s, Procedures and Site Instructions
Responsible for monitoring the discipline and timekeeping of contractors\' staff and labor in a defined work area, identifying any disciplinary action required, and informing the relevant Discipline Superintendent
Be fully familiar with the Subcontractors methods of fabrication/construction, schedule and procedure
Ensure Contractor / Subcontractor produces appropriate execution documents in a timely manner and monitor approval / compliance
Monitor progress and performance of the Fabrication Subcontractor to ensure that he performs to the approved schedule, specification and standards
Review look ahead schedules & ensure future work / discipline / interface issues are communicated and resolved
Ensure that a risk assessment has been undertaken and agreed prior to commencement of any new type of work activity
Review and monitor the availability of drawings, specifications, job instructions, material deliveries and tools applicable to all disciplines and area of work
In conjunction with the contractors\' supervision, planning engineers, and the Wood Construction Engineer, develop detailed daily and weekly work plans in accordance
with the overall planning schedule
Planning the craft manpower and interfacing with Industrial Relations for craft recruitment, hiring, and skills training programs
Reports directly to Mechanical Lead
Requirements
Key personal attributes shall include demonstrable ability to communicate, influence, be accountable for decision making, possess strong judgment, be able to lead, supervise, coach, whilst candidates should be flexible, results orientated
Must have demonstrable in-depth knowledge of FPSO repair & life extension, hull integration, topsides modules fabrication and installation, and the integration processes and techniques employed in floating infrastructure projects.
Possess in-depth knowledge on safety procedures and regulations,
Must have demonstrable multi discipline engineering knowledge.
Must have in-depth knowledge of project construction QHSES, best practices, and regulations.
Proficient in MS Office and other construction management tools/software
Fluet in, written and spoken English language
