Identify and assess suppliers of jewelry manufacturing tools and equipment.
Source and procure tools used in various stages such as design, casting, stone setting, polishing, and quality control.
Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers to obtain the best value.
Maintain updated records of tool inventory and usage to anticipate reordering needs.
Collaborate with the production and design teams to understand tool requirements and specifications.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
Ensure all purchased tools comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Manage relationships with vendors and develop new sources for tools and equipment.
Analyze market trends and new technologies in jewelry manufacturing tools.
Prepare and maintain procurement reports, cost analyses, and purchasing documentation.
