Job Description

SUMMARY Timekeepers are responsible for tracking the hours worked by employees in their organization. They ensure that everyone is paid fairly for the time they spend on the job, and they may also be tasked with ensuring that employees aren\xe2\x80\x99t working too many hours in a single day or week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES \xc2\xb7 Obtain supporting documentation for all leave usage. \xc2\xb7 Ensure Time and Attendance records are submitted to every employee within established deadlines. Employees for whom no data was received must be reported to the Supervisor. \xc2\xb7 Assist Time & Attendance Liaisons with corrective actions on rejected timesheets. \xc2\xb7 Obtain effective dates from Admin or Supervisors of personnel actions affecting employee\'s pay or leave (separation actions, promotions, etc.). \xc2\xb7 Prepare and validate corrected timesheets, as necessary. \xc2\xb7 Working with the staff of the Time and Attendance Office, resolving leave errors in a timely manner, and completing research and audits as necessary. \xc2\xb7 Follow-up with disciplinary action/employee working. \xc2\xb7 Facilitate accuracy of client cost allocation to enable pass-through to corresponding WBS codes. \xc2\xb7 Responsible for accuracy/audibility of project data to enable meaningful interrogation in support of key internal/external reporting requirements. \xc2\xb7 Manage time-writing database according to project-specific requirements. \xc2\xb7 Maintaining an accurate record of labour hours worked by each employee on each job site. \xc2\xb7 Communicating with supervisors to provide updates on work progress or any issues. \xc2\xb7 Payroll administration, including tracking employee hours and pay rates, calculating overtime pay, and submitting payroll information to state agencies. \xc2\xb7 Calculating timecards based on work orders, including start and end times, breaks, and lunch hours. \xc2\xb7 Recruiting, hiring, and training new timekeeping staff members as needed. \xc2\xb7 Making sure that timekeeping records are stored securely. \xc2\xb7 Monitoring timecards for accuracy and making any necessary adjustments. \xc2\xb7 Reporting any timekeeping irregularities to supervisors for further investigation. \xc2\xb7 Recording timekeeping data on spreadsheets or other computer software programs. REQUIRED EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent with work-related experience REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 2-4 years of clerical timekeeping and payroll experience (preferably with construction experience) REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Computer skills including Microsoft software. Basic math skills and understanding of file organization. Proficient in standard timekeeping. LANGUAGE SKILLS English, Hindi, Urdu: \xe2\x98\x92Required.
