The Tiler will be responsible for laying, cutting, and finishing tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety regulations to deliver high-quality finishes.
Key Responsibilities
Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, following design drawings and specifications.
Cut tiles to size using appropriate tools (tile cutters, grinders, wet saws, etc.).
Apply adhesives, grout, and sealants to ensure proper bonding and finishing.
Prepare surfaces (leveling, cleaning, applying waterproofing or primer where required).
Install tiles on floors, walls, ceilings, and other designated areas.
Align and space tiles evenly for a neat and accurate finish.
Mix and apply grout, ensuring a smooth and clean finish between tiles.
Repair or replace broken or damaged tiles when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and order of tools, equipment, and work areas.
Comply with safety and site regulations at all times.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Tiler or similar role in construction/fit-out projects.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Skilled in cutting, shaping, and installing ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and other tiles.
Knowledge of adhesives, grouting, waterproofing, and leveling methods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality finishes.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various site conditions.
Basic knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites.
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma/Technical Certificate in Masonry/Finishing works (optional but desirable).
Experience in commercial, residential, or fit-out projects.
Knowledge of different tile patterns and decorative layouts.
