to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing tiles on floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in residential, commercial, or industrial projects. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of materials, design, and installation techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Install tiles made of ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, mosaics, and other materials.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar.
Measure and mark surfaces according to layout plans and project specifications.
Cut tiles to fit around obstacles using tile cutters, wet saws, and hand tools.
Lay tiles with accuracy, ensuring alignment, spacing, and level installation.
Apply grout, sealants, and finishing materials to complete tile work.
Repair and replace damaged or broken tiles as needed.
Follow blueprints, sketches, and design specifications.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Follow safety procedures and company guidelines on job sites.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in masonry preferred.
Proven experience as a Tile Mason (2-5+ years).
Strong knowledge of tile installation techniques, materials, and tools.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and layout plans.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with decorative tile work, patterns, and custom designs.
Knowledge of waterproofing and surface preparation methods.
Familiarity with marble fixing, cladding, stone polishing, and epoxy grouting.
Ability to use leveling systems, spacers, and precision measuring tools.
Work Environment
Work performed indoors and outdoors at various construction sites.
Exposure to dust, noise, heavy materials, and physical labor.
May require overtime or weekend work depending on project needs.
