We are looking for a highly skilled

Tile Mason

with hands-on experience in

pool and landscape construction

. This role involves installing tile finishes in swimming pools, spas, water features, patios, and outdoor living spaces. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work effectively in outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Install ceramic, porcelain, glass, natural stone, and mosaic tiles for pools, spas, water features, and outdoor kitchens. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing as required for proper tile application. Mix and apply thinset, grout, and other bonding agents with precision. Cut tiles using wet saws, grinders, and hand tools to achieve custom fits and patterns. Follow pool and landscape design plans, ensuring alignment, spacing, and elevation accuracy. Work alongside other trades (plumbing, shotcrete, coping, decking) to coordinate tile installation within the construction schedule. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, materials, and job sites. Inspect finished work for quality and compliance with safety and industry standards.

Qualifications:

2+ years of professional experience as a Tile Mason, with proven work on pool and outdoor landscape projects. Strong knowledge of tile types, adhesives, waterproofing, and surface preparation specific to wet environments. Ability to read blueprints, plans, and detailed layouts. Experience with pool-specific tile installation (e.g., waterline tile, glass tile, spa tile, raised bond beams). Familiarity with outdoor hardscape elements such as patios, BBQ islands, fire pits, and decorative stonework. Attention to detail and ability to execute complex patterns and finishes. Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience with setting tile in negative-edge pools, vanishing edges, or high-end custom pool projects. OSHA 10/30 Certification or other safety training a plus. Experience with epoxy grouts or specialized waterproofing systems.
