POST: Through School Sports Coach at Safa Community School, Dubai

Currently, we are in search of a dynamic and passionate Through School Sports Coach to join our highly accomplished department. The successful candidate would be expected to coach teams across the age and ability range. This is an exhilarating juncture to become a part of the SCS team.

General Professional Responsibilities

The professional duties of a sports coach shall be deemed to include the following duties:

• Organising, planning and delivering Early Morning Sports Clubs sessions/training (6.40 -7.25am).
• Organising, planning and delivering After School Sports Clubs sessions/training.
• Assisting with the delivery of younger years PE and Swim Lessons.
• Being able to take Sports Squads in the following Sports would be an advantage; Netball, Girls Football, Girls Basketball .
• Maintaining good order and discipline among the students he/she is coaching.
• Participating in departmental meetings.
• Participating in administrative and organisational tasks in order to ensure the smooth running of the department.
• Working collaboratively to support teachers in curriculum delivery.
• Carrying out other tasks as reasonably directed by the Head of Department.
• Being supportive of UAE initiatives and cultural expectations.

Candidate Profile

It is a requirement that the successful candidate:

• Will hold relevant qualifications.
• Most importantly should be enthusiastic about sport and be able to convey this to students.
• Be an outstanding teacher with the ability to demonstrate outstanding practice and progress of students.
• Works effectively as part of a team.
• Actively keeps up to date with the developments in their field.
• Has a willingness to develop as a professional, taking opportunities to train further within the department, or outside to progress in their career.

Closing date for applications is Wednesday, 6th December 2023 at 14h00 UAE time. The application process is:

• All applications must be submitted on the TES Portal. Only applications submitted through the Portal will be considered.
• Submit a full resume / CV.
• Submit a covering letter of no more than two A4 pages.
• Provide at least three referees\xe2\x80\x99 names, telephone numbers (with international dialling codes), and email addresses. One must be a current employer.
• The closing date for all applications is Wednesday, 6th December 2023 at 14h00 UAE time. However, applications will be processed as received, and initial interviews will be arranged for successful candidates as applications are received.
• Once initial interviews are concluded, arrangements will be made individually with those candidates who will proceed to the second round of interviews.
