Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Review and understand all MEP drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements. Develop detailed testing and commissioning schedules and procedures for MEP systems. Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants for commissioning activities. Supervise and execute functional performance tests for mechanical systems (HVAC, chilled water, pumps, etc.), electrical systems (LV panels, DBs, cabling, lighting, etc.), fire systems (FACP, sprinklers, alarms), plumbing systems, and ELV systems (CCTV, access control, BMS, etc.). Monitor and document all testing and commissioning works through reports, checklists, and logs. Identify issues and deficiencies during testing, propose solutions, and ensure rectifications are completed. Ensure compliance with project QA/QC protocols, local authorities' regulations, and safety standards during commissioning. Prepare O&M manuals, as-built documents, test certificates, and participate in training sessions for client representatives. Facilitate inspections with consultants and clients for system handover and final acceptance. Attend coordination meetings and progress reviews related to T&C activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in MEP testing and commissioning. Strong knowledge of MEP systems and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, DEWA, DM, etc.) Experience with third-party testing agencies and authority inspections (DEWA, Civil Defense, etc.) Familiarity with BMS, HVAC controls, and integrated testing. Strong documentation and reporting skills. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and commissioning software/tools.
