TEST & SIMULATION ADVISOR Grade: GG12 Location: Riyadh JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Enhance RSAF engineering authority capability with regards to the development of test plans and procedures for aircraft and simulators. · Reviews, monitors and evaluates all aspects of aircraft and simulator performance, engineering, maintenance and support. · Provides a primary point of contact for all RSAF test and simulator programs.

. Provide Technical advice all aspects of aircraft and simulator performance, engineering, maintenance and support. . Develop aircraft system testing procedures, plans and documentation to verify performance to specification. . Review, modify, verify and validate test procedures and plans as necessary. . Contribute to all facets of test program design and planning. . Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with prepared procedures and plans. . Monitor test programs and evaluate/analyze se test data to identify problems and/or to verify performance. . Coordinate with specific systems engineers and prepare detailed reports on test programs undertaken. . Ensure test procedures, plans and test reports are accurate and are checked, filed and maintained in a satisfactory manner. . Participate in the acceptance testing of aircraft, simulator and support equipment. . Participate in accident investigations. . Develop and propose strategic plans for the future support of RSAF simulators and training aids to maximize In Kingdom Industrial Participation and technology transfer to KSA. . Manage simulator and training aids projects. . Evaluate and perform cost benefit analysis of improvement initiatives. . Manage policy and change and recommend improvement upgrade programs. . Perform analysis of engineering problems relating to civil and military training systems for all RSAF aircraft types by using creative and innovative thinking g the jobholder will devise and/or evaluate methods for the solution of problems. . Create Statement of Requirement (SoR), Statement of Work (SoW) and Engineering Plans for the procurement and modification of aircraft, training and support equipment. . Review vendor/supplier specification, Statements of Work, engineering and project plans for new or modified systems or equipment. . Prepare staff correspondence to organizations internal and external to the RSAF to resolve problems and implement RSAF policy. . Support RSAF officers at meetings and participate in design and program management reviews. . Progress authorizations of engineering modifications under RSAF Engineering Authority. Progress approval of engineering modifications through external design organizations and technical authorities.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

A thorough knowledge of international regulation and policy for military and civil aviation including International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Communications Navigation and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) requirements as applicable to civil and military aircraft and the certification requirements for civil and military simulators . · A working knowledge of International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR). · A good all round awareness of all RSAF aircraft and simulator systems, including drawings, maintenance, logistics management, statistical, analytical and presentation techniques.
