We are seeking an experienced
Terminal Manager
to lead operations at our chemical storage terminal inHamriyah Free Zone
. The role combinesoperations management, EHS compliance, vessel handling, customs coordination, and free zone activity approvals
. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations while maintaining strong liaison with HFZA, Civil Defense, and other authorities.Key Responsibilities
Manage
daily terminal operations
: tank farm, transfer pumps, pipelines, firefighting systems. Overseehazardous cargo handling
, nitrogen blanketing, static discharge control. Ensure compliance withUAE EHS standards
: HAZOP, QRA, OSHA, NFPA, and Civil Defense codes. Handlevessel operations
- berthing, loading/unloading, cargo transfer, and port documentation. Coordinatecustoms clearances, gate passes, import/export documentation
. ManageHamriyah Free Zone portal activities
: activity approvals, permits, contract renewals. Conduct fire drills, safety training, and ensure readiness of firefighting and emergency systems. Supervise terminal staff: shift in-charge, operators, security, and fire teams. ManageHR administration
: recruitment, training, duty rosters, and performance management. OverseeMIS reporting, preventive maintenance, instrumentation, and stock records
. Supervise and develop terminal workforce: operators, shift in-charge, fire & safety team, security. Drive asafety-first culture
across all levels of operations.Storage & Handling of Chemicals / Hazardous Goods
Import & Export of Chemicals
Customs & Gate Pass Approvals
Vessel Operations & Berth Approvals
Nitrogen Blanketing & Degassing
(if applicable)Tank Farm Operations Approval
Waste Management & Environmental Approvals
Fire & Safety Approval (Civil Defense)
Third-Party Certifications
Contract Renewal Approvals
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Chemical, EHS, or related discipline. Proven experience in
chemical storage terminal operations
within UAE or GCC. Strong knowledge ofHFZA activity approvals, customs, and vessel operations
. Expertise inHAZOP, QRA, hazardous cargo handling, and firefighting systems
. Ability to managecontract renewals and regulatory documentation
. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Job Type: Full-time
