Position Summary

To deliver a quality and fun tennis coaching programme to both adults and children of all abilities according to Advantage Sports standards and procedures.

The coach will have many specific objectives, but each could probably be grouped into four major categories:

\xc2\xa7 To provide personal and social development for lifetime skills.

\xc2\xa7 To develop and improve the technical and physical skills of tennis

\xc2\xa7 To provide a fun and enjoyable environment.

\xc2\xa7 To orient young people to assist achieving their goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

\xc2\xa7 Tennis coaching for daily and / or weekly tennis lessons / group classes

\xc2\xa7 Coach for tennis camps (during school holidays) if and when requested to do so, including tennis development and promotion

\xc2\xa7 Ensure sufficient time is spent planning and preparing for tennis lessons at the appropriate playing level

\xc2\xa7 Identify participants tennis abilities

\xc2\xa7 Advertising for all Advantage Sports Services tennis programs

\xc2\xa7 Ensure safety standards are followed in all sessions

\xc2\xa7 Provide explanations and demonstrate tennis techniques to students

\xc2\xa7 Set ground rules before each lesson

\xc2\xa7 Correct tennis technique faults and identify ways to improve performance

\xc2\xa7 Evaluate lessons and give feedback after each lesson to the respective parents / student

\xc2\xa7 Working a minimum of 6 days per week, 40 hours in total (36 hours on the court and 4 hours administration and development)

\xc2\xa7 Assist with creating the top Tennis Academy within Abu Dhabi and Dubai

\xc2\xa7 Ensure all tennis lessons are taught by Advantage is of the highest calibre at all times.

\xc2\xa7 Assist assembling a complete tennis program offering coaching, leagues and tournaments for all standards and also adapt other ideas.

\xc2\xa7 Promote Advantage Sports sponsorship brands.

\xc2\xa7 To be a point of contact between clients and the Managing Director and assist if and when necessary.

\xc2\xa7 To assist in locating and setting up new projects.

\xc2\xa7 Increase revenue for the tennis section of Advantage Sports Services.

\xc2\xa7 Help liaise with Tennis Emirates to improve tennis programs and standards in the UAE.

\xc2\xa7 Assist in tennis promotions, clinics, open days, tennis racquet testing days etc. without hesitation

\xc2\xa7 Develop the LTA Red, Orange, and Green & Teen Tennis scheme to run tournaments

\xc2\xa7 Assist in arranging and teaching in holiday tennis camps

\xc2\xa7 Contact person and organizer for Friday Mens Leagues for Advantage Sports Services venues

\xc2\xa7 Contact person and organizer for Saturday Ladies Leagues for Advantage Sports Services venues

\xc2\xa7 Assist with tournament development (inter-club leagues, open tournaments for all ages and abilities)

\xc2\xa7 Programme coaching for:

i. Kinds from 4 years of age and older

ii. Parents and toddlers

iii. Juniors

iv. Adults adult evenings

v. Ladies mornings

vi. Ladies match play mornings

Personal Specifications

\xc2\xa7 Interest and ability in tennis

\xc2\xa7 Good spoken English communication skills

\xc2\xa7 The ability to inspire confidence and motivate tennis players

\xc2\xa7 Perseverance and patience is extremely important

\xc2\xa7 The ability to encourage people and put them at ease

\xc2\xa7 A minimum of 5 years experience and one of the following qualifications:

i. LTA

ii. PTR

iii. US

iv. PTA

v. RPT

vi. ITF

vii. FIT
