Job Summary
The Tendering Engineer will play a pivotal role in preparing bids and proposals for Electrical Infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts, tendering processes, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Tender Preparation
• Analyze tender documents, specifications, and client requirements.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in coordination with internal departments.
• Ensure accurate cost estimation for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Technical Analysis
• Conduct site visits, if required, to gather necessary information for bid preparation.
• Review designs, drawings, and BOQs to align with tender specifications.
• Vendor Coordination
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing.
• Evaluate technical submittals and ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Compliance and Documentation
• Ensure bids comply with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and organize tender documents, including pre-qualification, clarifications, and post-tender negotiations.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with the Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management teams for seamless bid submission.
• Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings as required.
• Market Intelligence
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and new technologies in electrical infrastructure projects.
• Identify opportunities for cost-saving and value engineering in proposals.
Qualifications
• Education : Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• Experience :
• 3-5 years of experience in tendering and estimation for Electrical Infrastructure projects.
• Experience in street cabling and substation projects is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and estimation software.
• Strong understanding of IEC, DEWA, and ADDC standards.
• Soft Skills :
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Accuracy of cost estimation and project feasibility studies.
• Success rate of awarded tenders.
• Timeliness and quality of bid submissions.
• Vendor and subcontractor relationship management.
Work Conditions
• Based in Abu Dhabi with occasional site visits as required.
• Full-time role with a standard work schedule.
