Job Description

We are seeking a

Tendering Engineer (Civil)

to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting tenders and bids for civil construction projects, ensuring technical accuracy, competitive pricing, and compliance with client and company standards. The role demands strong analytical, coordination, and estimation skills with a good understanding of local tendering processes and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Review

tender documents

, drawings, and specifications to identify scope, requirements, and potential risks. Prepare

technical and commercial proposals

for civil construction projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Conduct

quantity take-offs

,

cost estimation

, and

rate analysis

for all civil works. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams for accurate costing inputs. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations for materials and services. Prepare detailed

BOQs, cost summaries, and bid documents

in line with tender requirements. Review addendums, clarifications, and post-tender queries to ensure timely responses. Support management during

tender negotiations

and post-bid clarifications. Maintain a database of tender submissions, vendor rates, and historical cost data. Assist in value engineering and provide cost optimization recommendations where applicable. Stay updated with

market trends, new materials, and construction technologies

relevant to the UAE market.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in

Civil Engineering

or a related field.

5-8 years

of experience in

tendering, estimation, or quantity surveying

within the UAE construction industry. Proven track record in preparing tenders for

infrastructure, buildings, or mixed-use civil projects

. Proficiency in

MS Office

,

AutoCAD

, and

estimation software

(such as Candy/CCS or similar). Excellent knowledge of

UAE tendering regulations, procedures, and pricing norms

. Strong technical understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and methods. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
