What would your role look like?
Temporary Accountant role reporting to Finance & HR Manager
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate that holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance; should be certified or qualified (CMA/CPA/QA/CA) accountant; minimum 5 years work experience in accounting/auditing; knowledgeable and experience is an accounting ERP system, preferably SAP; knowledgeable and experience in UAE VAT law. The role needs a dedicated, well organized, fast learner individual with the ability to prioritize workload, who should have an understanding of compliances, who is keen to details and excellent in numeric skills, a team player that can easilty adapt into a diverse culture environment.

Overall role and responsibility
To carry out day to day administration of financial transactions and bookkeeping; prepare reports and provide information as needed; compliance with company’s policies and procedures, tax laws and other regulations.
Main tasks
  • Accounts Payable
    • Verify the accuracy of purchase orders and vendor invoices if it’s in compliance with company agreement
    • Process invoice in SAP system and ensure VAT Code, GL account, Cost Center, and Amount are properly and correctly input on each transaction
    • Verify employee expense claims in SAP system, ensure employee on timely submission and check correctness and accuracy as per guidelines prior approval to the line manager
    • Oversee payments to vendor, initiate a payment on a routine schedule through cheque and bank transfer following a company payment procedure
    • Processing outgoing payments in the system, clearing vendor invoices and investigate any discrepancy
    • Administer office petty cash requirements
    • Review paid and unpaid invoices including cleared payment inquiries to maintain accurate files and records according to company standards.
    • Review vendor account, monitor account balances, track expenses, and prepare required expense reports.
  • Adhere in VAT compliance, and ensure that FTA Refund Request properly fill up and provide documents for quarterly VAT declaration
  • Accurately monitor and update office imports and exports and complete all documents in compliance with Dubai Custom consumption declaration
  • Assist and prepare other requirements for Interim/Yearly Financial Statement Audit
  • Others
    • Complete monthly reconciliation as per global finance guidelines
    • Create recurring entries and required accruals in SAP system and update schedules as needed
    • Complete other needed monthly finance KPI’s
    • Filing of accounting documents
    • Update finance procedures and to do list regularly
    • Other duties, including special projects may be assigned
