Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Telehandler Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of a Telehandler (Telehandler) to lift, place, and move materials across various site locations. A strong understanding of load management, equipment stability, and site safety is crucial for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

Operate a Telehandler efficiently and safely, with a primary focus on precise load placement and height reach. Conduct pre-operational inspections and daily maintenance checks to ensure the Telehandler is in optimal working condition. Safely lift, move, and position loads (including palletized goods, construction materials, and equipment) to elevated or difficult-to-reach areas. Utilize various telehandler attachments (forks, jibs, buckets, etc.) appropriately for different tasks. Understand and strictly adhere to load charts, taking into account load weight, lift height, and boom angle to maintain equipment stability. Consistently follow all company and site-specific safety regulations and operational guidelines. Report any mechanical issues, equipment damage, or safety concerns to the supervisor and maintenance team promptly. Collaborate effectively with site supervisors, ground crew, and team members using clear hand signals and radio communication to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience operating a Telehandler in a construction, warehouse, or industrial setting. Valid telehandler operator certification and/or heavy equipment operator license as required by local regulations. Solid knowledge of telehandler maintenance, pre-shift inspections, and basic troubleshooting. Demonstrable understanding of load charts, dynamic and static load principles, and factors affecting machine stability. Thorough understanding of and commitment to workplace safety protocols, particularly for working at height and in proximity to other personnel. Ability to work in various environments, including construction sites, warehouses, and outdoor settings in all weather conditions. Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a reliable, proactive work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in

ports, container yards, or construction sites

CAT

brand equipment.
