Department Description:
Emirates NBD Group IT is undergoing a leading digital transformation that will drive efficiency across all units The Network Datacenter and Security division is an integral part of this activity and will be responsible to drive the continuous product engineering lifecycle of a defined set of technologies that will deliver a standard stack of consumable products within Emirates NBD Datacenters in the following areas
1 Network Security covering Firewalls Load balancers Proxies IPS and all remaining products that are utilized to secure the network layer
2 Network and Voice covering Data Network Switching Routing Voice Infrastructure and all telecom links across all locations and Datacenters
3 Datacenter covering all Datacenters server rooms IDFs facilities own or rented by Emirates NBD
The Units key objectives are to onboard and maintain the selected products Faster Better and Cheaper
Brief Description:
We have two Data Center Barshamanaged by ENBD and ADDCmanaged DC by telco provider
Data Center Engineer will support Data Center technicians and DC projects for infrastructure requirements
At same time this role needs to support Data center BAU activities
The Role will also play a key role in coordinating with DC team and other IT stakeholders when required
Detailed Description:
1 ILOIDRACServer Console Configuration IP assignment User creation disk attach
2 Server Physical Installationmounting to the Rack
3 faulty hw part replacement such as memory disk PSU or PCI cards
4 Server Firmware upgrade
5 Basic OS installation WIndows Linux Vmware
6 Network and SAN Cabling
7 Knowledgeable in Data centre standards procedures and best practices on basic fault tolerance cable routing calculating power and cooling etc
8 Provide technical support in major area of responsibilitynetwork operations server operations system monitoring problem
Job Requirements:
9 Working knowledge of infrastructure cabling projects for data centre in support of Network based services utilizing structured cablinghorizontal and vertical solutions
10 Knowledge on LAN and WAN and Telecom infrastructure
11 Work with project managers and DC team on project designs and implementations
12 Strong skills in Data Center Inventory management Asset Management Documentation and change management
13 Excellent communication organizational and problem resolution skills
14 Skills in MS Office and Visio DC related softwarehardware installation configuration and testing practices
Additional Details:
Bachelors in Engineering
Relevant Certification
5years of experience at a relevant Technical position in large organizations working as IAAS and PASS engineer
Banking background
Excellent skills in server and configurations
Trouble shooting connectivity ad support platform engineers
