Job Description

Purpose and Summary:

§ To assist/provide support to Plants Supervisor in ensuring that day to day operation of the plant is continuous, in a safe, reliable, efficient, and optimum condition. As well as in Providing product at design conditions.

§ To gather and report plant status and issues to Plants Supervisor in a regular basis.

Key Deliverables:

§ Assist Plants Supervisor in Implementing strategies in alignment with the agreed strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.

§ Prepare the daily and weekly plant operations reports, share the same with Plants Supervisor.

§ Monitor the operation equipment and allocate plant resources effectively to ensure the plant is functioning smoothly.

§ Assist Plants Supervisor in planning, scheduling and supervision of the routine maintenance.

§ Assist Plant Supervisor in coordinating the preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.

§ Supervise the HSEQ of the plant to ensure a safe, healthy environment for individuals as well as the maximum level of quality and healthy environment.

§ Assist in the housekeeping management of the plant.

§ Ensures safe keeping and adequacy of tools for maintenance routine in the plant.

§ Ensure security of the plant.

§ Provide support to Plants Supervisor in training/guidance to plant operators and technicians.

§ Liaises and coordinate with suppliers and contractors as and when instructed.

§ Supervises the continuous operation of the facility to produce product at design conditions during isolation, planned, predictive, and emergency breakdown procedures.

§ Ensures plants run per budget and that financial profitability is guaranteed at the utmost level.

§ Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives

§ Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and wastage

§ Analyze data and create reports to present to supervisor regarding processes

§ Perform routine safety checks on equipment.

§ Carry out and record site inspections

§ Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements, conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings

§ Oversee plant's work schedule to ensure it is according to plans.

§ Ensure operators complete all required documentation in line with requirements.

§ Track and document daily log sheets

§ Organize and monitor the work of subcontractors on site Equipment and materials management

§ Be proactive in challenging plant/equipment utilization and driving down costs

§ Co-ordinate delivery and collection of materials as required.

§ Assist with promoting best practice at work

§ Participate in various activities related to safety, quality, productivity, information, and other delivery

§ Lead, monitor and guide the plant and its team performance in an ongoing basis.

§ Ensure all related activities are carried out according to The company policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

§ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

§ Preferred Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

§ 3 to 5 years of relevant experience of which minimum 2 yours as a team leader
