GMG is seeking a motivated and multi-skilled Technician to join its Facilities Management team in Dubai. This role is essential to maintaining the smooth operation of building systems across GMG's extensive retail portfolio. The Technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general systems while ensuring adherence to company safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance (PPM) and cleaning of Split and Package AC units in retail locations.
• Assist senior technicians with Chillers, VRF systems, and complex HVAC operations.
• Conduct minor mechanical maintenance on chilled water pumps and support basic water treatment procedures.
• Diagnose and repair basic AC component faults such as contactors, motors, and thermostats.
• Perform minor electrical repairs including switches, sockets, and lighting fixtures.
• Handle basic plumbing work such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and maintaining sanitary systems.
• Complete small civil and handyman tasks, including furniture assembly, door hardware repair, and painting touch-ups.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, tracking materials, work hours, and completed repairs.
• Ensure compliance with GMG's health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Report technical issues promptly to senior technicians or the Facilities Manager for further action.

Ideal Profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering.
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in retail or commercial environments.
• Working knowledge of air conditioning systems, electrical circuits, and basic plumbing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor issues independently.
• Physically fit with the ability to perform manual maintenance tasks.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational efficiency.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
