Job Description
- Regular electrical maintenance & Trouble shooting activity on electrical Equipment.
- Electrical spares Preparation, attending the breakdown or Maintenance activity in shift.
- Regular electrical parameters checking as per Standard Electrical SOP’
- Keeping the seniors informed of the site requirements, R&M work and developments.
- Responsible for following established safety procedures, including wearing PPE and lock-out/tag out procedures.
- To be Familiar with the operation, application, and trouble-shooting of AC and DC motors and drive systems & Read and understand electrical systems drawings.
- Responsible to test, modified old or new electrical equipment under the guide line of Foreman / Supervisor to ensure proper and safe operation before turning equipment over to the production operators.
- Read and understand Electrical systems drawings, Use Proper Insulated Tools and Suitable Hand Gloves and Put Electrical Isolation Tag on the Feeder during the R&M jobs.
- Follow company site safety procedure & rules while working in plant.
- To be familiar with all MCC drawings and single line diagram in respective areas.
- To be familiar with fire extinguisher system and location where it is fixed.
- To be understand the fire alarm system and to be known immediate response.
- Follow the safety procedures.
- Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Fill in job tickets/log completion of work on the computerized maintenance management system.
- Familiar with working in steel plant environment.(Arc furnace, Overhead Cranes Etc. ).
- Daily Reporting as per departmental Organization chart.
- To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.
- To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
- To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff.
- To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
- To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.
- To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.
- To attend safety trainings planned for them.
- Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
