Overview

GMG is seeking a highly motivated

Technician

to join our Facilities Management team. This entry-to-mid-level role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all building systems within our retail portfolio. The technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance across

multiple technical disciplines

(including HVAC) and assist senior specialists on complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Systems Maintenance (Primary Focus on Retail Operations):

Execute routine

Preventive Maintenance (PPM)

and cleaning on all air conditioning equipment, primarily focusing on

Split AC units

and

Package AC units

. Assist lead technicians with complex HVAC systems including

Chillers, VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow)

, and large

refrigeration systems

. Perform minor mechanical maintenance on

chilled water pumps

and basic

water treatment

procedures under direction. Execute basic fault diagnostics and repair of simple AC system components (e.g., motor contactors, fan motors, thermostats).

Multi-Skilled Facilities Support:

Perform minor

electrical repairs

and fixture maintenance (e.g., replacing switches, sockets, and light fixtures). Execute basic

plumbing repairs

(e.g., fixing minor leaks, unclogging drains, maintaining sanitary systems). Conduct general

handyman tasks

and minor civil works (e.g., painting touch-ups, furniture assembly, door hardware repair). Ensure all back-of-house areas, plant rooms, and common spaces are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Operational Support & Compliance:

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, logging activities, parts used, and time spent on tasks. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere strictly to company safety standards and protocols. Communicate issues and repair needs clearly and promptly to the Senior Technician or Facilities Manager.

Required Qualifications & Conditions

Experience:

Minimum

1-3 years

of practical experience in facilities maintenance, demonstrating skills across multiple disciplines.

Work Schedule:

6 days per week, with one day off.
