Job Description
Cable Technician:
Installation and maintenance of enterprise data products and services Preferred for GPON Technology
Cable pulling, installation, termination, testing and commissioning of GPON equipment.
Installation, commissioning, Testing, and rectification of fiber optic cable.
- Hands-on Experience with GPON Technology, FTTH/FTTX, FTTM etc.
Installation and maintenance of enterprise data products and services Preferred for GPON Technology
- Terminate various forms of telecommunications Equipment (ONT, routers and Switches, Patch Panels, etc. and cabling including copper and fiber optic cabling,
Cable pulling, installation, termination, testing and commissioning of GPON equipment.
Installation, commissioning, Testing, and rectification of fiber optic cable.
- Strong communication and writing skills with the ability to clearly explain issues
- Preparing MDF & IDF equipment and ensuring all patch cords are properly dressed.
- Cable preparation, termination, fusion-splicing, testing.
- Conducting Splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber sites and links
- Ensuring all attended sites are clearly labeled before the site inspection.
- Installations, troubleshooting, and maintaining all fiber optic systems on site and ensuring that they are working properly.
- Measuring the signal strength of telephone and internet connections and ensuring that there is adequate performance
- Inspecting fiber routes and hub sites as preventative maintenance
- Documenting and reporting on work completed
- Troubleshooting the site issues as per the agreed clients standard
- Pull the cable to customer end from MDF room & ODF room
- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Cable Technician: 3 years (Required)
- UAE driving license (Required)
