Joining our team, we are looking for Technical Writer - Flight Operations Your Role The Technical Writer will report to Head of Flight Operations Support, and will be responsible for the documentation, publication, reproduction and dissemination of all Flight Operations/Crew Training and customized company manuals, training syllabus and publications. Duties and Responsibilities: The Technical Writer main duties and responsibilies will include: Documentation
- Work closely with Flight Operations and Crew Training on revisions of their respective manuals.
- Organize materials according to set standards regarding style and format, edits, or makes changes to materials received from manual owners.
- Prepare draft for review, and approval of final revised version for submission to Safety, Security and Compliance (Quality) and MCAA, as necessary
- Prepare timely amendment of the manuals.
- Monitor current revision of the manuals in the Manufacturer\xe2\x80\x99s Website (Airbus World).
- Ensure that the EFB Ops Library are updated.
- Prepare the production and distribution of the electronic copies of manuals and publications.
- Responsible for the production of user-friendly and effective operation documentation to the highest quality standards.
- Disseminate to all authorized holders the Authority-approved manuals and makes sure that manuals are distributed.
- Record the distribution of manuals
- Download the Navigation Database for all the fleet.
- Provide copies of media to Engineering as per schedule for loading in the aircraft by maintenance provider.
- Record and upload publications in Company Intranet Portal and other applicable medium.
- Make sure that all important records related to Operations manuals being handled are organized throughout each manuals\xe2\x80\x99/records\xe2\x80\x99 life cycle in the Technical Publications shared folder.
- Keep the records safe throughout their life cycle and ensures that superseded confidential manuals information are destroyed after their life cycle, when necessary (i.e. superseded CDs ; superseded hard copies).
- Maintain a good working knowledge of the relevant editing and formatting software\xe2\x80\x99s.
- Other relevant duties as directed by the FOS Management.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat/Frame Maker and XML editors
- Advanced knowledge of Aircraft Manufacturer Documentation tools
- Formal training in Airbus FODM/ADOC and/or Boeing rebuilder tool and aircraft specific type courses is desirable
- Strong writing and research skills
- Ability to work well with other professionals, both peers and Subject Matter Experts
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing projects within a deadline-driven environment
- Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter with a well-developed work ethic and resourcefulness
