Technically responsible for the support of the Mechanical systems for Large Siemens Gas Turbines in Middle East Region and will be part of regional Service Engineering. Will provide technical support for our customers in Middle East Region who have Siemens Products along with supporting Sales with new opportunities & field service personnel with field issues. The role will also involve acting as the interface between Middle east & Global Siemens Engineering.

Role will involve office based and customer site-based support and will require travel at short notice.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Within the Generation Service Business (G SV), provide timely engineering support for technical queries from both internal and external customers (includes project managers, sales, and field service). This position will focus on support of Siemens Energy Large gas turbines in region Middle East.
• Prepare technical document to define the required maintenance scope for the large Gas Turbine and the required actions to solve the previously reported issues.
• Identify suitable service bulletins, modifications, and recommendations for clients to improve their performance, availability, reliability and safety.
• Utilize the global fleet experience to support internal & external customers.
• Present and discuss technical solutions during internal and external meetings.
• Provide EN support directly on site at Power Plants as and when required. Provide recommendations and advice to support the Field Service organization and ensure smooth outage execution.
• Active participation required during post outage reviews to identify possible Modification & Upgrade opportunities and to identify key lessons learnt for the future.
• Act as a key point of Contact / focal point for technical issues within the Country / Region. This could relate to outage interval extension, operational issues, commissioning, combustion tuning, performance tests, balancing, risk assessments and root cause analysis.
• Interact and reach out for support from a worldwide network of specialists and experts within Siemens Energy covering the Gas Turbines.
• Customer 1st approach always required to focus on the requirements and demands from our customers across the Region.
• Promote a zero-harm culture both at site and in office locations. This includes speaking up and if required stop work when necessary to ensure safe outage execution.

What You Bring

• Bachelor, Master or comparable engineering degrees in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Basic knowledge in Gas Turbine technology.
• Basic knowledge in manufacturing and repair technologies.
• Basic knowledge in materials.
• Good verbal and written communications skills in English.
• Collaboration and networking skills are crucial to perform this role.
• Experience of working within cross functional teams is essential.
