About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Supervisor to join the Engineering team in a Jumeirah Pe-opening Hotel in Dubai. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Responsible for co-ordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the engineering functions.

To ensure that the property and assets are maintained in the highest order through the implementation of the \xe2\x80\x9cJumeirah Engineering Management System\xe2\x80\x9d and the appointment of suitable competent personnel.

To ensure Daily briefings are conducted.

Supervises the daily activities of all Engineering Department team leaders and subordinates.

Observes activities to ensure adherence to policies and operating procedures.

Check on completed repair and maintenance works to ensure that established standards have been met.

Handles grievances, suggestions, and complaints by colleagues and recommends appropriate action to the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer.

Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes and procedures.

To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require.

To ensure that regular meetings with external service providers are conducted.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Higher diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering

Minimum of 5 Years in a Five star Hotel environment

5 to 8 years supervisory experience in a similar position

Good verbal and written English skills

Good communication skills

Knowledge of computer maintenance management systems
