About the Role:



ARMADOR MARITIME SERVICES LLC

is seeking a highly experienced and motivated

Technical Superintendent

to oversee the safe, efficient, and cost-effective technical management of our oil tanker fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tanker operations, vessel maintenance, and compliance with international maritime regulations.

This position will be based in

India or Dubai, UAE

, with occasional international travel required for vessel inspections, audits, and dry docking projects.

Key Responsibilities:



Manage the technical operations of assigned oil tankers to ensure seaworthiness and compliance. Plan and supervise dry dockings, repairs, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Monitor vessel performance and fuel efficiency, and recommend improvements. Ensure compliance with all international maritime conventions (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL), class, and flag state requirements. Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and docking activities. Coordinate with Masters and Chief Engineers to ensure timely and effective support. Liaise with classification societies, flag state, port state control, and third-party service providers. Conduct regular vessel inspections to monitor conditions and performance. Generate technical reports, analysis, and recommendations for management. Support HSQE, procurement, and crewing departments for operational excellence.

Requirements:



Marine Engineer Class 1 COC (preferred) or degree in Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture. At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Superintendent managing oil tankers. Previous sailing experience on oil tankers (as Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer) is strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of tanker operations and maritime regulatory compliance. Proven track record in dry docking, maintenance planning, and budget control. Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills. Willingness to travel as required to attend vessels or shipyards.
