We are seeking a skilled Technical Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and technical aspects of the shipping company\'s fleet. As a Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and seaworthiness of the company\'s vessels. Your duties will include overseeing maintenance activities, coordinating repairs, managing budgets, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Plan and execute dry-docking and repair projects, managing budgets and timelines effectively.
Conduct regular inspections of vessels to assess their condition and identify maintenance needs.
Coordinate with ship crews, technical teams, and external vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely repairs.
Monitor and analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and equipment inventory.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, class requirements, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent or similar role in the maritime industry.
Strong knowledge of ship systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards (ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to managing technical challenges.
Ability to travel to vessels and shipyards as needed.
