About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and process-driven

Technical Manager (Technical Auditor)

to oversee and audit technical deliverables across projects with a focus on design accuracy, resource utilization, and financial compliance. This role plays a critical part in validating shop drawings, identifying technical variations, and supporting commercial evaluations and payment processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong multi-disciplinary technical acumen (civil, structural, and MEP), an eye for detail, and the ability to evaluate drawings, contractual scope, BOQs, material utilization, and construction documentation to ensure alignment with approved project deliverables and authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Review and validate

shop drawings

and material submittals to ensure compliance with project design intent, codes, and contractual scope. Identify

variations

, technical deviations, or conflicts between contract & IFC drawings, shop drawings, and actual site execution. Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to address drawing discrepancies or non-compliance issues. Review of BBS againt the IFC drawing & place steel call offs. Audit

utilization of construction resources

(manpower, materials, equipment) and verify alignment with approved work programs and site needs and submit resources reconciliation on monthly basis. Analyze technical claims, scope deviations, and

VOs (variation orders)

to support the Contracts/Commercial team in cost substantiation. Evaluate

payment applications

by verifying the actual executed quantities against approved BOQ, drawings, and site progress. Support the Planning and Commercial teams in validating technical progress for monthly billing and forecasting. Maintain a repository of technical records, approvals, and as-built documentation for internal audits and authority submissions. Liaise with QA/QC and design teams to ensure revisions and redlines are incorporated and tracked. Generate technical audit reports and present observations with corrective recommendations to senior management.

Skills & Competencies Required

Strong technical knowledge across civil, structural, and MEP systems. Expertise in reviewing drawings, specifications, BOQ, and authority approvals. Understanding of UAE regulations including DM, DDA, Trakhees, and Civil Defense standards. Familiarity with contracts, variations, VO processing, and payment certification procedures. Excellent analytical and documentation skills. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and document control platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask across technical audits, site inspections, and commercial support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (mandatory); Master's Degree is an advantage. Must be a member of the

Society of Engineers - UAE

. Minimum

8-10 years of experience

in technical/project auditing or design review roles for high-rise buildings. Experience in managing document control, technical compliance, and commercial support is essential.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED25,000.00 per month
