Technical Manager

We are looking for a Technical Manager for one of the Multinational Polymer Manufacturer firms, who will be based in Dubai and directly reporting to the Technical Director.

• Guarantees safety management of his laboratory according to guidelines.
• Guarantees the suitable operation and maintenance of all lab equipment.
• Plans and provides lab orders to application engineers.
• Improves and develops guide formulations of cement and gypsum based product .
• Keeps guide formulations updated in accordance with existing raw materials in the market.
• Supports the introduction of new products into the MEA market.
• Identifies new application\'s fields for existing products.
• Performs the technical evaluation of development products in paints and coatings considering application\'s field and customer\'s needs in MEA.
• Offers technical support to customers, especially in MEA, not only with existing products but also by introducing new ones in order to match customer\'s needs.
• Performs trainings for internal and external customers.
• Translates customer\'s needs into technical requirements.
• Plans and executes customer\'s visits together with sales and marketing managers.
• Keeps complete and accurate files of all relevant documentation in accordance with ISO
• 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 rules where applicable.
• Prepares reports of customer\'s visits and requests, as well as reports of customer related lab work.

Requirements and Competencies

• Master of Science, Bachelor of Science or Chemical Engineering, with specialization in
• Polymers chemistry, material sciences or related fields
• Strong expertise in the formulation of drymix formulation.
• 3 to 5 years of experience offering technical support to customers in the redispersal powder
• Communication\'s skills in close contact with customers
• Outstanding track record in setting and achieving goals
• High ability of self-organization, staff guidance and self-motivated
• Flexibility to travel in EMEA approx. 50 % of the working time
• Fluent in English is an advantage
• Expertise in MS-office (Word, Excel and Power Point), SAP R/3 and other electronic data processing system
