What Does a Technical Manager in Aluminium Systems Do?
As the Technical Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of aluminium faxc3xa7ade systems, from concept design to compliance and installation. You will lead technical teams, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and ensure all aluminium solutions meet local and international engineering standards.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of aluminium systems
- Review technical drawings and ensure system compatibility, cost-efficiency, and structural feasibility
- Coordinate with engineering, production, installation, and procurement teams for seamless project execution
- Ensure compliance with safety, sustainability, and performance standards, including inspections and testing
- Mentor and manage the technical team, providing training and support for development
- Support the sales team with technical presentations and system demonstrations
- Engage with suppliers to evaluate materials and integrate market-driven enhancements
- Keep up with evolving industry trends and apply them to current product offerings
What Skills Are Needed for Aluminium System Technical Roles in the Gulf?
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in aluminium faxc3xa7ades, curtain wall systems, or structural glazing
Technical Proficiency:
- Expertise in aluminium profile design, system selection, structural evaluation, and performance testing
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, and STAAD Pro
- Strong knowledge of ASTM, EN, BS, and local UAE building codes
Key Competencies:
- Ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking and solution-oriented approach
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills
- Immediate availability is preferred
