MSX International is looking for a Technical Helpdesk Engineer to join our busy team, supporting our premium client in their Dubai office.

The Technical Helpdesk Engineer will provide technical information and diagnostic support to the manufacturer's Authorised Dealers primarily via a web-based system to the Middle East and Africa (MENA), Region for Customer vehicles as well as attending service clinics and other brand events as required.

The Role

In this role, the Technical Helpdesk Engineer will:

  • Accept enquiries from Authorised Dealers and Repairers via a Comms / Systems entry methodology
  • Provide guidance and technical instruction to Dealers and Authorised Repairers. Record data as required into a computer system, provide vehicle and concern details if and when required about any particular case
  • Provide contacts with prompt technical assistance and complete accurate resolution information where this exists
  • Maintain an acceptable level of quality and response rate
  • Participate in training, product information exchange with appropriate data sources as required
  • Accept other assignments (responsibility for items of equipment, literature, customer data systems, analysis, investigation, ISO9000 etc.) as determined by the MSX Team Leader / Project Management
  • Attend service clinics and other brand events with travel as required
  • Liaise with Team Leaders Project Management on Vehicle Case Histories, trends, and analysis to support design, development, and manufacturing processes
  • Participate in " hands on " technical vehicle evaluation in plant
  • Complete and provide information for Company documentation as necessary (Travel Expense Reports, Corrective Action Requests, and Timesheets etc.)
About you

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with outstanding diagnostics skills. Our ideal Technical Helpdesk Engineer will have expert level knowledge of all aspects of modern vehicle systems and repair processes, particularly up-to-date electronics. As well as:
  • Minimum 5 years Technical experience to Senior / Master Technician level or equivalent within a franchised dealership
  • An ability to describe and understand complex technical issues clearly
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a logical thinker
  • Confident in technical concern resolution
  • Creation and updating of TSARA cases
  • PC literacy: will be able to operate a PC for information and data recording, retrieval and electronic mail as well as having an expert working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet
  • Must be prepared to travel if required for up to one week at a time as requested by Project Management, as well as relocating to Dubai for the role.
  • Fluent English speaker and hold a EU Passport
