About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Technical Engineer (Civil - Building Construction)

who is fluent in

Arabic and English

to join our project team in

Umm Qarn, Qatar

. This is a key role responsible for overseeing technical aspects of building construction projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and coordinating effectively with project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in large-scale

civil/building construction projects

.

Key Responsibilities

Review, interpret, and implement

project drawings, specifications, and technical documents

. Provide technical support to the project team and resolve on-site engineering issues. Monitor daily site activities to ensure adherence to

construction plans, quality standards, and timelines

. Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth project execution. Ensure compliance with

Qatar construction regulations, codes, and safety standards

. Assist in the preparation of

shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation

. Support the Project Manager in progress reporting, quality control, and technical reviews. Identify and recommend cost-effective technical solutions to project challenges. Utilize advanced computer skills to manage documentation, project planning, and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

- Mandatory.

7-10 years of proven experience

in building construction projects (GCC experience preferred). Strong technical knowledge of civil construction methods, practices, and materials. Proficiency in

English and Arabic (both written and spoken)

- Mandatory. Excellent

computer literacy

(MS Office, AutoCAD, project management software). Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and resolve construction-related issues.

communication and coordination skills

with multicultural teams. Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive decision-making. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and compliance. Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
