Position Overview
The Technical Engineer Mechanical role with Azizi Developments in Dubai supports the delivery of high-quality residential and commercial projects across the city's prime locations. Position Overview
The Technical Engineer Mechanical will be responsible for managing and reviewing mechanical engineering works across Azizi Developments projects in Dubai. This role requires strong technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, and LPG systems, along with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure full compliance with UAE authority requirements and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering process for all mechanical systems including drainage, water supply, fire fighting, HVAC, and LPG systems
• Review IFC designs to ensure compliance with UAE authorities and project requirements
• Lead and manage a team of draftsmen responsible for shop drawings and as-built drawings production
• Prepare engineering calculations including external static pressure, pump head, ventilation, pressurization, and heat load calculations
• Produce and review MEP coordination and modular drawings
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, architectural, and structural engineering teams
• Prepare and review material submittals, engineering drawings, and technical calculations
• Provide technical support for authority submissions with in-depth knowledge of Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, Empower, Trakhees, and Dubai South regulations
• Review major material procurement requests to ensure technical and contractual compliance
• Develop shop drawings and detailed ELV drawings in line with IFC drawings and project specifications
• Support project teams with accurate technical documentation from design through execution and handover
• Maintain detailed logs for materials, shop drawings, RFIs, and related technical documentation
• Prepare bills of quantities, RFIs, RFPs, and coordinate with procurement teams

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of UAE experience working with contracting companies on building construction projects
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, mechanical standards, and authority regulations
• Proven experience in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems
• Strong coordination, leadership, and technical documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver engineering solutions within project timelines
