This position requires a strong technical background, the ability to work independently on assigned tasks, and effective coordination with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and interpret
construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs
.
Prepare, review, and submit
shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
for consultant approval.
Coordinate with
consultants, project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors
to resolve technical issues and RFIs.
Provide technical support to site teams to ensure
accurate and compliant execution of works
.
Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with
approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
.
Assist in identifying and resolving
design discrepancies, clashes, and technical challenges
.
Prepare and maintain
technical documentation, reports, and project correspondence
.
Ensure compliance with
local authority regulations, project specifications, and contractual requirements
.
Participate in technical meetings and contribute to project coordination and planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Civil Engineering
or a related discipline.
4-6 years of proven experience
as a Technical Engineer in construction or contracting projects.
Strong understanding of
construction methods, materials, and technical documentation
.
Proven experience in
shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
.
Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate
technical drawings and specifications
.
Familiarity with
UAE construction standards and local authority requirements
.
Proficient in
MS Office
; working knowledge of
AutoCAD
is preferred.
Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
