Technical Engineer - Civil
to join our team in Dubai. This role combines technical engineering responsibilities with active participation in tendering activities, offering an excellent opportunity to work on a range of challenging and rewarding projects.

Duties & Responsibilities
Tender Management
Ensure collaboration between estimators, QS, commercial, procurement, planning, technical, and legal departments.
Act as the focal point between senior management and the tender team.
Define win strategies, including pricing competitiveness, compliance, and technical approach.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Prepare a tender program with clear milestones and deadlines.
Conduct regular tender progress meetings to ensure timely submission.
Review and validate quantities, pricing, and subcontractor/supplier quotations.
Ensure compliance with client's technical and commercial requirements.
Coordinate preparation of alternative proposals (if permitted).
Review tender documentation for accuracy, completeness, and professional presentation.
Lead pre-bid and post-bid meetings, and clarify requirements through RFIs.
Handle client queries and maintain strong relationships with consultants, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Participate in negotiations and presentations with the client.
Provide a detailed handover to the project team after award.
Conduct post-tender lessons-learned sessions for continuous improvement.
Technical Engineering
Review and revise drawings to ensure compliance with design and client specifications.
Prepare and manage engineering documentation, including RFIs, RFQs, and technical reports.
Coordinate with Electrical, and MEP teams to ensure integration and compliance with civil works.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of materials and services.
Assist in project planning, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
Monitor progress reports and provide project management support to ensure timelines are met.
Prepare and submit material submittals for consultant/client approval.
Follow up with consultants for inspections and approvals to avoid project delays.
Coordinate and prepare shop drawings as per project needs.
Manage project-related correspondence effectively and professionally.
Key Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in contracting/construction in UAE, including roles as Technical Engineer or Office Engineer.
Must have proven experience in at least two or more of the following project types:
o High-rise Residential Towers
o Commercial Towers (offices, business centres)
o Luxury Villas / Housing Projects
o Mixed-use Developments (residential + retail + office)
o Hotels & Resorts
o Hospitals & Schools
o Warehouses & Factories
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of contracting and construction processes (BOQ, specifications, costing).
Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients, suppliers, and consultants.
Proficiency in:
AutoCAD
Primavera P6 / MS Project (Project Planning & Scheduling)
Civil 2D & Civil 3D
MS Office Excel
Or any engineering and tendering software
