The Technical Engineer plays a key role in supporting the design, coordination, and execution of projects by ensuring technical accuracy, quality compliance, and timely delivery of engineering deliverables. This role involves close coordination with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure seamless project execution and resolution of technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret project specifications, IFC drawings, and contract documents.
Prepare technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements in coordination with the design and site team.
Coordinate with consultants and clients for technical approvals and clarifications.
Ensure that all materials and systems comply with project requirements and relevant standards.
Provide technical support to procurement, planning, and site teams during execution phases.
Conduct site visits to inspect work progress and resolve technical challenges.
Coordinate MEP services and architectural details to avoid clashes and ensure smooth execution.
Update and maintain as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
Support QA/QC processes by ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Participate in internal and external project meetings and provide technical input.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of relevant experience in construction, fit-out, or MEP projects.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and applicable codes.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design or coordination software.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple technical aspects across fast-paced projects.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in luxury fit-out or design-build projects.
Familiarity with authority regulations and approvals.
Knowledge of value engineering and cost optimization techniques.
