IIRIS is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Technical Lead to join our Data Value Chain team. As the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership across all aspects of data engineering, from data acquisition to distribution. You will lead a team of skilled data engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of data solutions while maintaining a high level of data quality, security, and reliability.

As the Technical Lead for the Data Value Chain team, your role encompasses the following responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Data Value Chain team, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence
  • Architecture and Design: Lead the design and architecture of data engineering solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with best practices.
  • Technical Strategy: Develop and execute a technical strategy for data engineering projects, incorporating the latest tools and technologies to meet business objectives.
  • Data Acquisition: Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and architect data acquisition pipelines from various sources.
  • Data Transformation: Oversee the design and implementation of data transformation processes, ensuring data quality, consistency, and adherence to data governance standards.
  • Data Distribution: Lead efforts to design and implement efficient data distribution mechanisms, ensuring secure and accessible data for relevant teams.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for data engineering solutions, ensuring knowledge sharing and best practices
  • Code Review and Quality Assurance: Perform code reviews, establish coding standards, and implement quality assurance processes to maintain high-quality data engineering codebase.
  • Resource Management: Allocate technical resources effectively, manage workloads, and optimize team performance to meet project objectives.
  • Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering solutions into broader data ecosystems.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong understanding of data acquisition, transformation, and distribution.
  • Expertise in AWS services and Redshift for data storage and processing.
  • Proficiency in Spark is a plus.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and experience in guiding and mentoring a technical team.
  • Expertise in data engineering tools and technologies (e.g., ETL tools, data integration platforms, big data technologies).
  • Strong knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in software development and coding (e.g., Python, SQL , DBT , Airflow).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
