Al Wazan is seeking a
Technical Assistant (Non-IT)
with experience inconstruction or oil & gas projects
to support the Technical Manager in managing day-to-day site and office operations.This position is
not related to IT or software support
-- it focuses onengineering documentation, procurement coordination, and project administration
for field and office activities.Key Responsibilities
Assist the Technical Manager in
project coordination, documentation, and reporting
. Prepare and tracktechnical submittals, tender documents, method statements, and material approvals
. Coordinate withvendors, suppliers, and site teams
for quotations, delivery follow-ups, and documentation. Maintain and updateproject files, drawings, and procurement records
. Support the drafting ofpurchase orders, correspondence, and bid evaluations
. Follow up with internal departments (Procurement, QA/QC, HSE) to ensure deliverables are met on time. Preparetrackers, schedules, and technical presentations
as required. Ensure proper filing, version control, and accessibility ofengineering and site documents
.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma
in Engineering, Science, or a relatedtechnical/construction discipline
.1-3 years of experience
in aconstruction, maintenance, or oil & gas technical support role
. Proficient inMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Knowledge of technical documentation, material submittals, and project coordination
is essential. Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced project environment.Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with
construction or oil & gas background
will be considered.Immediate joiners
and thosecurrently based in Abu Dhabi
preferredNote: Preference will be given to candidates currently based in Abu Dhabi and holding a valid UAE Husband/ spouse visa.
