Technical Architect - onsite, Dubai, UAE

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect for a short-term contract to provide technical leadership and hands-on support for our development projects. You will collaborate closely with the enterprise architect, project manager, and development team to resolve complex issues in system design, code implementation, UX, and code reviews. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and expertise in full-stack development, cloud environments, and modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead system design discussions and ensure scalable, secure architectures align with business needs. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to design, code, UX/UI, and code reviews. Coordinate with the enterprise architect, project manager, and dev team to implement solutions efficiently. Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor team members as needed. Implement and optimize DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines, including automation for testing and deployment. Ensure seamless integration across full-stack components in cloud environments.

Required Skills and Experience:

Full-Stack Development:

Proven expertise in Python, Node.js, React, Next.js, and Jinja templating.

Cloud Environments:

Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure, including services for compute, storage, and networking.

DevOps & DevSecOps:

Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and security integration.

Testing Automation:

Proficiency in tools like Selenium, Jest, PyTest, or similar for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

System Design:

Deep understanding of core concepts like scalability, microservices, API design, and performance optimization.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication skills for coordinating across teams; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

Experience Level:

7+ years in technical architecture or senior full-stack roles; prior contract/freelance work preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in enterprise environments with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps. Certifications in AWS, Azure, or DevOps (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer).
