JOB PURPOSE:

To achieve the SF6 plant production targets according to Standards & specifications.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Accident reporting and preventive measures, PPE and H&S issues

Production efficiency and Factory efficiency

Team briefing and communication

5S and House Keeping in general

JOB CONTEXT:

The position is responsible to:

• To meet the Final assembly production target of SF6 Products

• Responsible for managing and controlling of total Final assembly & PPA

• Productivity improvement on a continuous scale and weekly reporting of all production related KPIs like production efficiency and factory efficiency, OT, OTIF and FPY/process rejections.

• Creating work environment to meet quality standards set by ISO 9000/14000/18000.

• Allocation of work load to operators on daily basis

• Scheduling the shift on the basis of work load and material availability

• BOM validation and error reporting to contracts/LTH Eng for corrective actions(ECR/ECN process)

• Coordinate with Production Engineering dept. for optimized process flow, Lean manufacturing etc. on a continuous scale for cost cutting and waste reduction.

• Total Quality system implementation by deploying correct manufacturing processes

• Total cycle time (throughput time) reduction.

• Responsible for approximately 45 Blue collar workers (as of now). Man- Managements skills as an outstanding capability in order to keep the Workers motivated and committed in achieving high productivity and quality standards, always.

• Impart Training to workers on Product and other technical aspects of product

• Co-ordination with internal customers/suppliers like Fabrication/Stores/Quality to meet production targets in time.

• Responsible for overall house keeping

• Ensuring that tools/fixtures/templates, measuring instruments etc. that are used are periodically calibrated as applicable

• Cost reduction measures

• Work stations and process flow lay out

• Facilitate safe working environment for people and implement H&S guide lines and regulations To take active role in continuous improvement & cost cutting projects

• Assembly problem solving & train the operators for multiple assemblies.

• Regular inspection of critical internal assemblies, critical settings, Assembly and rework/repair.

• Control & stock management of production consumables and WIP.

• Follow the best industrial practices like 5S

• Timely generate and circulate the reports related to line stoppage due to supplier issues during single piece flow assly

• Strictly follow the single piece flow concept and ensure that this has been followed by all the operators all the time

• Develop multiple skill development /training and update the training matrix

• Analysis of rejection of material due to operator\xe2\x80\x99s error

• Daily production update needs to be circulated to concerned

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: -

Diploma/ITI in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Bachelor of Technology in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum Experience:

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Electrical Switchgear industry in production.

Job-Specific Skills:

Detailed knowledge about protection circuit, metering circuit, relay circuit, EFI, wiring diagram, wiring looms, terminals, lugs, crimping tools, Testing.

Should be able to understand the BOM structure, BOM comparison, wiring diagram etc

Should be able to understand and Experience of Manpower handling,

Knowledge of ISO, ERP & Health and safety

Behavioral Competencies:

Must know to communicate in English and Hindi, with Computer knowledge preferably in ERP environment.

To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the company.
