  • This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.

Qualifications

This is a Full-Time Seasonal 0320 Teacher, Social Studies at Bahrain Middle High School. This recruitment is for SY 22-23 with a Not to Exceed date of 31 July 2023. Candidate must be local and, in the Bahrain commuting area.

DoDEA operates a variety of school configurations. Secondary teachers may be required to teach at the middle and senior high school levels. Endorsements for optional additional categories in other content areas can be met with 24 semester hours of credit once an educator has met the 30 semester-hour requirement for the initial secondary category. The minimum qualification standards are as follows:

0320, Teacher, Social Studies: A major in social studies or a minimum of 30 semester hours in the field of social studies is required. Course work must include U.S. history, world history, political science, and physical geography. A minimum of 12 semester hours of upper level course work in social studies is required. A minimum of 3 semester hours is required in the specific subject area assigned.
