About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Business and Economics Teacher to join our fantastic team at GEMS Wellington Academy, Silicon Oasis from September 2023. The ideal candidate will be ambitious for career development and will be required to teach Business at GCSE, A Level and BTEC. You will be able to demonstrate unwavering commitment to raising student progress and standards.

Essential criteria:

A B.Ed or subject related degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent

Proven experience of teaching Business & Economics at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 (GCSE, A Level and BTEC)

A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom

Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents

The successful candidate will have:

A track record of securing outstanding student progress in Business and Economics

A dynamic leader who can make a positive contribution to the efficient running of the department, marking examinations, leading departmental meetings, sharing resources and good practice, lesson observation, collaborative teaching, mentoring and active participation in CPD.

Excellent interpersonal and team building skills

Commitment to developing the highest standards of learning and teaching

Able and willing to make a full contribution to the life of the school

Have high expectations of themselves and others
