Job Description

Teacher responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student performance, managing classroom behavior, and communicating with parents. Instructional and curriculum responsibilities

Plan and deliver lessons:

Design and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to different learning styles.

Develop curriculum:

Collaborate with other educators to create comprehensive and coherent curricula.

Use diverse teaching methods:

Employ a variety of techniques, such as group work, discussions, and hands-on activities, to engage students.

Incorporate technology:

Use technology like smartboards, tablets, and educational software to enhance learning.
Assessment and reporting

Assess student progress:

Monitor and evaluate student performance through various assessments, including homework, tests, and projects.

Provide feedback:

Offer constructive criticism and positive reinforcement to help students improve.

Keep records:

Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.

Report to parents:

Prepare and present informative reports on student progress to parents and guardians.
Classroom and student management

Manage behavior:

Establish clear rules and expectations, enforce discipline, and address inappropriate behavior according to school policy.

Promote a positive environment:

Foster a respectful, inclusive, and safe classroom culture that encourages curiosity and values diversity.

Provide support:

Offer academic, and sometimes emotional, support to individual students, including those with disabilities or those who are gifted.

Ensure safety:

Create a healthy and safe learning environment and follow all relevant safeguarding procedures.
Professional and administrative duties

Collaborate with colleagues:

Work with other teachers and staff to support student learning.

Engage in professional development:

Participate in training and development activities to enhance teaching expertise.

Communicate with stakeholders:

Maintain open communication with parents, other teachers, and school leadership.

Handle administrative tasks:

Complete administrative work such as taking attendance, managing records, and ordering resources.

Requirements

Must have 3-5 years of Teaching Experience International Curriculum IG
