: Taxi Driver (English Speaking)

Location: Dubai

A taxi driver transports passengers to their destinations by safely and efficiently driving a vehicle, often using GPS. Key responsibilities include picking up and dropping off clients, ensuring passenger safety, helping with luggage, and collecting fares. Drivers must also maintain the vehicle's cleanliness, perform basic maintenance checks, and keep detailed records of trips, mileage, and expenses.

Core duties and responsibilities:

Safely drive clients to their desired locations, which could be homes, workplaces, airports, or other destinations. Use knowledge of local roads, GPS, or other navigation tools to find the most efficient and shortest routes. Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage, and provide a safe and comfortable environment. Conduct regular vehicle checks, ensure cleanliness, and report any mechanical issues. Keep accurate logs of daily activities, including trip details, mileage, fuel consumption, and payments. Calculate and collect fares from passengers, provide correct change, and handle cash and card transactions. Follow all traffic laws, local vehicle-for-hire regulations, and licensing requirements.

Required skills and qualifications:

A history of safe and responsible driving is essential. Familiarity with the streets, landmarks, and common traffic patterns in the service area. Ability to communicate effectively with passengers and dispatchers. A welcoming and polite attitude and the ability to handle passenger needs professionally. Ability to manage time effectively to ensure punctuality for pickups and drop-offs. Ability to make quick decisions and navigate unexpected situations, such as traffic congestion or difficult passengers. Needed for calculating fares and handling payments. The job requires a level of physical fitness for tasks like helping passengers with luggage.
