Job Description

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and entering financial data into tax software or spreadsheets to facilitate the preparation of tax returns.
  • Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and rulings to stay informed about changes and assist in addressing specific tax issues or questions.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including schedules and workpapers, to support tax filings and compliance efforts.
  • Support Tax Manager and Finance Head in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities.
  • Analyze financial data, such as income statements and balance sheets, to identify potential tax implications and assist in making informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information and ensure accurate and complete tax reporting.
  • Provide support during tax audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and helping to resolve issues raised by tax authorities.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assist in communicating relevant information to the tax team and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in period-end closing activities, particularly in processing tax records and performing reconciliations with respective subledgers.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, organizing documents, and maintaining records related to tax filings and compliance.
