Job Description

Responsibilities:Assist in preparation, completion and submission of monthly and quarterly VAT returns for the Group in UAE and KSA including validating input VAT recovery by reviewing sample purchase invoicesSupport the timely submission of withholding tax return for review as per the local country lawsAssist in preparation of relevant documentation to support VAT refund applications and any queries raised by tax authoritiesMaintaining organised records of tax returns filed, payments, acknowledgment and other relevant documents ensuring reconciliation with financial statementsCoordination with finance departments to streamline and manage efficient tax process to ensure compliances with local tax lawsLiaising with external consultants for filing of tax and compliance returns to be undertaken in multiple jurisdictionsAssist in undertaking ICV compliances and obtaining certification in UAE and Qatar, ensuring quality and accuracy in compliances and communication with external advisorsMonitor changes in tax landscape in GCC and provide timely updates regarding the same.Required SkillsA recognised professional qualification such as CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, ADIT, CTA is preferred with 2-4 years' experience in VAT, compliance and advisory role within UAEWorking knowledge of accounting principles and tax accountingGood working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics) and proficiency in MS Excel.Practical experience in indirect taxes is an added advantageAttention to detail and ability to work independentlyQuick learner with strong motivation and initiativeGood communication and interpersonal skills
