NEXTEL is hiring an experienced

Fiber Taping Technician

with

strong UAE project experience

, specialized in

fiber tapping / mid-span jointing

for large-scale ISP & OSP fiber networks.
This role is critical to maintaining network integrity and ensuring project delivery in compliance with

DU & Etisalat standards

.

Key Responsibilities

Execute

fiber tapping / mid-span access

on live and dark fiber networks Perform safe opening, routing and sealing of fiber cables Install and manage

joint closures

and protective enclosures Ensure zero damage to existing live fibers Work closely with splicing and testing teams Follow UAE telecom standards and site safety regulations Maintain proper labeling and documentation

Mandatory Requirements

2+ years experience

in fiber taping

within UAE projects

Proven expertise in

mid-span jointing & closures

Excellent understanding of DU & Etisalat fiber standards Ability to identify live fibers and manage active networks Strong field problem-solving skills Can work independently with minimal supervision

Technical Expertise

Advanced fiber mid-span tapping Live fiber handling Closure installation & sealing Fiber routing & protection Network continuity maintenance Supporting fusion splicing & OTDR testing
